Presentation of “133” White Lambskin Apron (circa 1816-1826) to Tarbolton (Kilw) St James No.135 on 1st Feb 2013

The apron was handed into Lodge St Ebbe No.70 a number of years ago and has been in their possession ever since.

Lodge St Ebbe Bro Secretary contacted Lodge St David to say that they would like to return the Apron to its Rightful owners and duly posted it out 133 Lodge Secretary.

On receipt of the Apron and on closer inspection, although numbered 133, the Lodge name which appears on the apron was not St David but St James 133 which caused a bit of a puzzle.

Further enquiries with Grand Lodge revealed that Lodge St James was numbered 133 during the period 1816-26, before assuming its current number of 135, during the same period Lodge St David was numbered 131, and is now 133.

The apron was presented to RWM Bro Ian Davidson by RWM Bro John R. Fleming and is now therefore with its rightful owners at Lodge St James. Pictures by Bro W. Lennox PM Secretary 133
